“Treating my family from Hong Kong to this private wine tour in Douro Valley was the highlight of our trip (or any vacation for that matter). Alfredo was extremely knowledgeable and accommodating, always making sure that we were enjoying ourselves and that we were happy with the pace of the tour. The selection of vineyards was perfect for a day trip. Each stop offered a unique experience. We were able to meet passionate small estate owners and sample vintage port from superb years all in one day! The outdoor wine tasting with picturesque views of the vineyard and mountains was a real treat. Alfredo really pulls out all the stops and spares no expenses to ensure that this tour is of outstanding quality. The lunch at Quinta Da Pacheca was exquisite (the sea bass and port wine cake were some of the best dishes we had in Porto). This was, without a doubt, the most flawlessly executed tour out there. We were able to soak in magnificent views, learn and sample the best wine Douro has to offer, and enjoy a gourmet 3 course meal. Alfredo really goes above and beyond to ensure we had everything we needed. Extremely glad we chose this tour!”

Alfredo is very professional, but has a warm charm that make you feel as though he is a close friend. He has close connections with very unique producers in the valley which also makes each experience quite special. As mentioned elsewhere, Alfredo's van is immaculate and he is a very good driver ~ better than most. My wife and I travelled with our daughter and her husband. We all enjoyed the time spent with Alfredo and appreciated his insights to the country, the region, and the people in the valley.”

“Our day in the Douro Valley with Alfredo was one of the highlights of our trip to Portugal. The wineries, scenery, food, and river cruise were all wonderful, but Alfredo is what made the day special. A private tour means spending many hours together, and he made the day feel comfortable, relaxed, and enjoyable from start to finish. He was knowledgeable, engaging, and fun. Somehow, he struck the perfect balance between teaching and guiding us and simply letting us enjoy the adventure. My friend of more than 30 years and I had been looking forward to this trip for months, and Alfredo helped make the Douro Valley one of our favorite parts of it. We covered a lot during the day, yet never felt rushed and had plenty of time to appreciate both the beauty of the valley and the people we met along the way. Our day started with a perfectly on-time hotel pickup by Alfredo in a spotless and very comfortable VW T7. From the very beginning, he made us feel welcome. His English is excellent, and throughout the day he shared so many interesting stories about Portugal, the Douro Valley, its history, and its wine culture. His passion and knowledge really made the experience special. Our first stop was a small, family-owned winery, where we learned a lot about the region and the winemaking process while enjoying a fantastic wine tasting in a very personal setting. After that, Alfredo took us to a stunning winery with breathtaking views. We enjoyed another excellent wine tasting followed by one of the best lunches we had during our stay in Portugal. The day continued with a stop at the beautiful Pinhão train station, famous for its traditional blue tile artwork, before we relaxed on a peaceful boat cruise along the Douro River. It was the perfect way to take in the incredible scenery. Overall, this was a truly unforgettable experience. Without Alfredo’s local knowledge and carefully planned itinerary, we could never have discovered the Douro Valley in such an authentic and enjoyable way on our own. 10/10 experience – highly recommended!
