My wife, along with two of our close friends recently traveled to the Portugal. We hired Tourvent (aka Alfredo) to take us on a day trip to the Douro Valley wine country from our home base of Porto, Portugal.
The whole experience was wonderful. Alfredo was prompt on our agreed upon pick-up time, conversation to and from our destinations were informational, enjoyable, and rewarding. All points of this trip have been carefully planned and executed and it showed!
Each vineyard we visited was unique, with amazing wines, olive oils, traditions, and history. The scenery of the Duoro Valley is spectacular. This trip gives you the perfect opportunity to enjoy the wines while balancing the opportunity to take some amazing pictures along the way.
Alfredo was one of the best hosts we have ever encountered on a hired, private tour. We would HIGHLY recommend him and his companies services. Don’t even consider another operator, this IS the one you should chose.”

Really happy with our choice to book a private Douro Valley tour with Alfredo and Tourvent. Alfredo picked us up in a very nice van with plenty of room for four adults. He provided just the right amount of Portugal history mixed with wine, grape and Douro Valley information. He has chosen some really wonderful vineyards for this tour and we really enjoyed the opportunity to connect with the actual owners/winemakers of the vineyards. Plus, a private boat tour as well which we really enjoyed! We didn't run into any other tour groups during the day and that is exactly what we had hoped for! By far our favorite part of our trip to Portugal. Douro Valley is beautiful and a tour with Tourvent is the way to see it for sure!”

Alfredo was a delight! ! I traveled to Portugal for the first time and visited Lisbon, Porto and the Douro Valley… I found Alfredo through trip advisor and booked the Douro Valley day trip to visit wine cellars, have lunch and take a boat trip on the river. The Douro valley is a must see, and you'd be silly if Alfredo didn't guide you! It took him less than 5 minutes to understand my group dynamic and really understand us and our needs. He was very knowledgeable and respectful. He took us to places we would never have visited on our own which was truly amazing. I would HIGHLY recommend him, and I know that when I return to Portugal, Alfredo will definitely give us recommendations and take us to several villages to explore and truly see the culture of Portugal!”
